THIS WEEK's NEWS
1. Men's Conference: Steve Farrar (April 9
& 10)
We are looking forward to Steve Farrar speaking at this year's Men
Conference at
Harvest
Oakville on April 9-10 (Friday night and Saturday
morning).
Steve Farrar is one of America's top bestselling authors of books for
men, which began with his 1990 classic work - Point Man: How a Man Can
Lead His Family. With half a million copies in print, Point Man was the
catalyst for Steve leaving the pastorate after fifteen years and
focusing his ministry on equipping men for spiritual leadership. He's
the founder Men’s Leadership Ministries and speaks to men across the
country.
The cost of the event is $20 per person; you can pay cash or cheque at
the door. For more information about this event,

2. PARTY with the Pastor! (April 11)

If you're new to Harvest and want to find out what we're all
about, this is the first step to discovering who we are! PWTP is a
great way to learn more about our vision, history and priorities while
you meet some of the ministry staff and other key leaders from our
church.
This is an informal event held on a Sunday afternoon in the home of one
of our church members. There will be a Q&A time for any questions
you may have about Harvest, as well as great fellowship and light
refreshments throughout. Please note: Party with the Pastors is an
adult-only event; childcare is not provided.

3. Harvest Youth

This week, Harvest Youth is meeting on Wednesday from 7pm - 9pm at
John
Knox
Christian School in the gym. Please bring your Bible, pen and
non-marking shoes!
4. Praise God for Good Friday & Easter Sunday

We were truly blessed by the Lord this past weekend as we were reminded of the incalculable cost and inestimable victory won by Jesus Christ for us on the cross. May the Lord continue to use His Word in winning many visiting friends and family to Himself as a result of the gospel seeds which were planted. He has risen! He has risen indeed!
UPCOMING EVENTS
1. Christianity Explored (Apr 18)

Do you have questions about God, the church or the Bible that you've been dying to ask someone for awhile? Have you ever wished there was a place to investigate Christianity and get a simple overview of who Jesus is and what He said and did?
Whether you are investigating Christianity for the first time or simply wanting to brush up on the basics, we want to invite you to join us on Sunday mornings at 8:15 - 9:15am, from April 18 to June 27. We'll be walking through a 10-week course on the Gospel of Mark, looking at the life of Jesus Christ and what it means to follow Him.
Childcare is provided. To sign-up for this course, please register here.
2. Prayer Meeting (Apr 27)

"For you, O Lord, are good and forgiving, abounding in steadfast love to all who call upon you." (Psalm 86:5)
On April 27, from 7pm - 8:30pm, we'll be meeting at
John Knox Christian
School for our monthly church-wide prayer meeting. Please be
in prayer beforehand, asking that our Lord would meet with us again in a
powerful way by His Word and Spirit.
Please note that
Small Groups and
Youth will be canceled during this week of
April 25 - May 2 in order to allow everyone to participate in the
Prayer
Night.
3. PEAK Performance (May 1)

This session is designed to give you a solid understanding of
what it means to be a follower of Jesus Christ and to help you learn
what it means to Worship, Walk with, and Work for Christ here at Harvest
Brampton.
Peak Performance is a requirement for anyone interested in becoming a
member at Harvest or joining one of its Small Groups.
Childcare is provided for Peak Performance; simply indicate the number
of children you will be bringing and their respective ages when you
register. To register online,
please

you register).
4. Child Dedication (May 9)

"Children are a heritage from the Lord" (Psalm 127:3), a stewardship
given to parents and church alike. So, this Mother's Day, it's our desire to express our
thanksgiving for and commitment to the children God has given our
congregation by committing them to the God together during our Sunday worship service.
If you would like to participate in this event, please contact Pastor
Ted (tduncan@harvestbrampton.ca) by May 2.
