THIS WEEK's NEWS
1. Praying for our families: Child Dedication Update

What a blessing it was to gather together and dedicate several children and their families to the Lord this Sunday. Please continue to keep these families and their children in prayer, that God would save them at a young age and bring them up as "oaks of righteousness, the planting of the LORD, that he may be glorified." (Isaiah 61:3).
2. Walk in the Word a Success!

This past Thursday, James MacDonald was in Toronto for
his last stop on his 2010 Walk
in the Word Bus Tour. He gave a powerful message on "When Life is Hard." God was greatly glorified as His Word went out with power, truth and love. Thank you to everyone who helped volunteer at this event to make it run so smoothly.
3. Harvest Youth

Harvest
Youth is meeting on
Wednesday from 7pm -
9pm at John
Knox
Christian
School in the gym. All Jr. Highs (Gr.6-8) & Sr. Highs (Gr.9-12) are welcome. See you there!
UPCOMING EVENTS
1. PARTY with the Pastor! (May 28)

If you're new to Harvest, we would like to invite you to a
party!
Party with the Pastor is Friday, May 28 at 7:30pm in the home of
one of our church leaders. This is a great time to enjoy some food, meet
our pastor and some of our other church leaders, and find out the history of what God
has been doing here at Harvest.
This event is free to attend, but you do need to register either
online
or at the Get Connected desk on Sunday. Directions and further details
will be provided after
you register.
Please note: we are not able to provide childcare for this event.
2. Baptism Sunday (May 30)

"We were buried therefore with him by baptism into death, in order that, just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glory of the Father, we too might walk in newness of life" (Romans 6:4).
We will be having our first baptism service in the history of our church on the last Sunday in May. Please celebrate with us this significant event in the life of our church and in the lives of those who have found new life in Christ!
If you are interested in being baptized, please email Chris Shipley (cshipley@harvestbrampton.ca).
3. Harvest BBQ (June 6)

What a better way to celebrate all that the Lord has done in our midst these past eight months then with a summer BBQ on June 6? Immediately after the service, everyone is welcome to join us outside Sir William Gage Middle School for a free afternoon of food, fun activities and great fellowship.
If you are interested in volunteering, please contact Ken Hisey (khisey@harvestoakville.ca). See you there; remember to come hungry!
