    THIS SUNDAY

    1. Current Sermon Series - Forward By Faith

I'm so excited to launch a new sermon series on the life of Abraham this Sunday.  Our church is so new and we don’t know what God is going to do, but we are expecting Him to do “far more abundantly” (Ephesians 3:20-21). We’ve already seen Him do great things and God is calling us to have the faith to expect even more! What we need as a church is more faith.

A man or a woman of faith is a person who believes God’s promises and trusts His character so deeply that he or she acts with radical courage, wisdom and strength.  A person of faith is a person who moves forward, trusting in God’s word, and leaving the details to Him.  I love how the author of Hebrews describes Abraham’s radical trust in God. “By faith Abraham obeyed… he went out, not knowing where he was going” (Hebrews 11:8).

I really believe that a study of the life of Abraham is so fitting for our church at this point in time.  We need to keep moving forward as a church, trusting that God will provide and that God will remain faithful to His promises.  When you commit to moving FORWARD BY FAITH, the most important consideration is not the destination, the directions or the details. What matters most is who you are following.

We aren’t going got be studying the life of Abraham so that we can learn how walk like he did, rather, we are seeking to know the God who he followed.  As we study the life of Abraham, we will find that we can move FORWARD BY FAITH only because we are following a faithful God.

    2. Young Adults Carpool - November 6

Josh Mejia is organizing a carpool for Young Adults at Harvest Oakville this Friday.  If you are interested in going, contact Josh at joshmejia@gmail.com

    3. Party With The Pastor! -  November 8,  3 - 5:30 pm

If you're new to Harvest, this is the first step to discover Harvest and get plugged in.  PWTP is a great way to learn more about our vision, history and priorities while you meet some of the ministry staff and other key leaders from our church.

This is an informal event held on a Sunday afternoon in the home of one of our church members.  There is also a Q&A time for any questions you may have about Harvest, as well as great fellowship and light refreshments throughout.

Please note: Party with the Pastors is an adult-only event; childcare is not provided.

To register online, please click here (further directions and details will be provided after you register).

    4. Small Group Launch - November 8-13

We are thrilled about the upcoming launch of Harvest Small Groups!

What are Small Groups?  Glad you asked.  The purpose of these groups is to help all of us grow in our relationship with Jesus by ministering to and encouraging one another in daily devotionals, effective prayer and mutual accountability.
