    The Son of Man Is Resurrected

    Passage: Luke 23:50–24:43

    Principle: Believers should tell unbelievers about Christ’s resurrection.

    Praise: “Christ the Lord Is Risen Today”

    Prompt: Ask your child these questions:
    •    Why did the resurrection have to happen?
    •    What instructions did Jesus give the disciples before returning to heaven?

    Practice: Help your child apply these truths in the following ways:
    •    By believing that Christ’s resurrection is their only hope for salvation.
    •    By telling others that forgiveness of sin comes through repentance and faith in Jesus.

    This Week: As a family, read Luke 23:50–24:43.

    •    Why was it necessary for Jesus to die?

    Practice: Help your child apply these truths in the following ways:
    •    By thanking Jesus for dying for sinners.
    •    By trusting that Jesus is the only way to heaven.

    The Son of Man Anticipates His Death

    Passage: Luke 22:7–23; 39–46

    Principle: Jesus is the sacrificial Lamb of God.

    Praise: “White as Snow”

    Prompt: Ask your child these questions:
    •    What is the significance and symbolism of the Passover?
    •    Why does our sin require the perfect sacrifice of Christ?

    Practice: Help your child apply these truths in the following ways:
    •    By thanking God for sending His Son to be the perfect sacrifice for sin.
    •    By obeying Jesus by remembering what He did on the cross.
